Dear Members of the Renaissance Community,
The humanitarian crisis unfolding in Ukraine is deplorable and will have worldwide consequences. Though we cannot control these events or predict what will happen next, we condemn the actions that have displaced more than one million residents of Ukraine and inflicted untold harm on its people.
Global citizenship is one of our core values at TRCS. Therefore, we offer our moral support to students and staff with family and friends directly impacted by the Russian invasion. To our broader community, we hope you will join us as we continue to practice kindness, empathy, and respect for the right of every human to lead a peaceful, safe, and productive life, within our neighborhood and across the globe. It’s what we were founded on nearly thirty years ago.
We are also collecting non-perishable donations to send to Ukraine. First aid kits, painkillers, bandages, gauze, and tourniquets are in the highest demand. If you would like to donate, please drop items off at the main office this week. We will be collecting them until Friday morning, March 11, and will then deliver them to the Jackson Heights police precinct for packaging and shipping overseas.
Sincerely,
Stacey Gauthier
