What do I send in with my application?
Just complete the application via our SchoolMint portal or through a phone call. This is a lottery, nothing should be attached to the application.
When can I see the school?
To schedule a school tour, please call our school at (917) 242-3505 or email us at info@rencharter2.org.
Do I have to register to attend an open house?
No, but you should RSVP under our Admissions page.
Can I transfer my child from another charter or public school to yours?
We accept students through a lottery process. You must apply for the lottery to be considered.
Do you have to live near the school?
We accept students living in the New York City. However, there is a priority for siblings and students/families residing in District 24.
How much is tuition?
We are a public school; there is no tuition.
What average does my child need to get into your school?
There is no average requirement for our school.
If I’m not picked from the lottery, what happens to my application?
All applications are wait-listed for one school year. You must re-apply every new school year.
What are my chances of getting in?
As the NY State Lottery says, “you have to be in it to win it.” We receive over a hundred applications for each grade.
